May: Presenter at the May webinar of my professional association, Lactation Consultants of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ). My topic was historical, about Europe's experience of a much earlier pandemic for which even today, after centuries, there is no vaccine - but there is an effective treatment.
9 November. Presenter, with other speakers from round the world, at an online symposium in which my presentation set the context of mother-support groups for breastfeeding.
25 November. Presenter of a webinar for LCANZ on unusual syndromes and other disorders, some of them congenital.

March: two local events:
-As guest speaker at Springfield ABA Group, on 'Low supply: Am I running out of milk?', 1st March 2019.
- As keynote speaker at the ABA South Brisbane Region's workshop for counsellors, on the importance of providing support ('the right advice from the right person at the right time') for mothers who are breastfeeding, 30 March.
July: Speaker in a concurrent session at the AMIRCI conference at University of Sydney, 10-12 July. [Note: AMIRCI has been renamed Maternal Scholars Australia (MSA).]

In 2018 I spoke at two conferences:
- the wholly online iLactation Conference in September-November. (My one-hour presentation was on improving counselling skills, including using the new techologies.)
- the LCANZ Conference in Adelaide in October. (I spoke twice in concurrent sessions on: on valuing women's milk, and also on marketing issues.)
